Watch What You Focus On

They say what you focus your attention on you will attract more of. This is true. I have seen it in my own life and watched it occur in the lives of others. If you focus on negativity then you will only see negativity everywhere. If you focus on things that are true, pure, and lovely then you will see more of what is true, pure, and lovely.

In the middle of a dry, hot summer even the grass showed me that God’s promises still hold true. I saw this as I stepped through the gate in my yard. The rest of the grass was sparse and dry but this one little spot held onto some of its green. Enough green to catch my eye and allow me to marvel at its unique shape.

Little love notes from God are everywhere if you take the time to look for them. Seek and you shall find. I love nature and I love God. In nature I see little reminders of God’s love for me. You can do this too. Just go out, take a deep breath, and look around at the marvelous creation that has been put here for us to enjoy.

Focus on things that are true, pure, and lovely. Stop focusing on all that’s wrong in the world and instead see what God created just for you to enjoy with Him.
